First up, we have the iconic couple, who defied all social and religious barriers, to create history by coming together to tie the knot. Meghan Markle and Prince Henry defined being royal and looked super sophisticated on their big day. For decades, the royal family has set the standard for exquisite bridal gowns. It is the thing of the family to champion elegance, and throw the world into a frenzy. Getting to the minute details, Meghan included embroidered flowers from all of the Commonwealth nations, on her veil. This way her ode to the Queen.
Harry and Meghan, made a power couple in their symbolic outfits
Next up we have, Kate Moss and Jamie Hince, where the bride wore a custom made classic Galliano gown, which was crafted to details with a sheer slip dress, bias cut in silk, the bodice had a sheer overlay embroidered with gold sequins, while the skirt was an intricate web of gold beading, embroidery and rhinestones. She had a 1920s style lace cap veil, embroidered with flowers that is certainly vintage. This is what we call a creative brainstorm, a dress that brides till date cannot get enough of, and designers who yet get inspired by it.
Jamie and Kate looked straight out of a fairy tale wedding.
Next up, we have the epic intercultural wedding, of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. The bride's dress was especially made as one of a kind gown that was hand beaded and embroidered to feature floral and scroll motifs, lace effect tulle applique work, scalloped sleeves, and a high neck collar. Her veil was seventy-five feet long, yes we are absolutely serious and the entire piece took about eighteen hundred odd hours to complete. It cannot get better than this, and to top it all, the couple had another wedding ceremony the following day, in the Indian style, and later threw a bunch of parties for their families and friends worldwide.
Epic ensembles are what this fancy couple wore, and we so loved it!
And finally, we necessarily had to talk about the talk of the town. Charlene Wittstock became the princess of Monaco when she married Prince Albert II and created a buzz with the dress amongst other things. The idea was to go for a completely modern look, with her own individual and unique style. The dress took over three thousand hours to create, with the most extensive and intricate embroidery one could imagine and featuring Swarovski crystals, mother of pearl teardrops and stones in several gold shades. The dress was made up of Duchesse silk, and of silk organza, also not to forget the veil that alone, was a work of art, encompassing delicate, silk tulle taking a special talent to embroider.
The duo looked nothing short of perfection in their head to toe white wedding ensembles.
Which couple's attires made your jaw drop? Which bride looked drop dead gorgeous? in our opinion, all of them did. There are so many more, that left us stunned as they walked down the aisle on their special day!
